No one in this world lives like this IF they are truly rich!
Bad enough Russell has been feeding all those lies about anything and everything but what's with the network for going along with it all? Oh yeah, ratings!

His business' worth ('assets') combined could technically make him a millionaire while still living a trailer lifestyle.

---- Yep, this is the most convincing evidence that he did lie about his real life background out of the game yet to me.
And yes the Network did misrepresent his real life occupation. As for ratings being the reason why, I guess that CBS is going for the "Evil Millionaire" angle because of the state of the economy; you know the rich guy trying to make himself even richer at the expense of people who really need it. That is the only thing I can think of but if those pictures are really representative of how he really lives-and I have no reason to doubt it-then he looks like HE needs the mil the most LOL!
Good research whomever is responsible for it. If it is you, good work.

He has to be the dumbest player yet - whatever made him think he needed to use the Immunity Idol????

I still think "oil company owner" means he drives an owner-operated heating oil truck which is considerably more plebian than the JR Ewing existence he is being painted as having.

Strategery. Russell is one of my favorite players, ever, although I think he started trying to do too much, too fast, which may come back to bite him in the ass!
The blindside Erik got was friggin' priceless, though!

--- I don't by TPTB being fooled. I am sure they did complete background checks. They misrepresented Russell with full knowledge.
Oh and I forgot to mention in my last post: Russell, based purely on game play, still deserves to win IMHO although he got a bit paranoid about playing the idol but of course he doesn't have the same fly on the tree trunk view that we do. On the other hand Erik wasn't paranoid enough, but to be fair he really didn't see it coming and it was a quick turn on a dime development against him.
It could be moot though. From the previews it looks like Russell Hantz is going to be the next to go next week. 20/20 hindsight says that he should had kept his mouth shut about the idol and laid low and got the politics of the former Galu tribe. -- ----->Hunter

There are pictures of him putzing around on an oiler tanker too. Maybe his family business is in the repair service

I hope you're being sarcastic. The "evidence" is a handful of undated pictures at an unverified location. Even if they're recent photos taken at his home, they're hardly conclusive evidence that he's not a millionaire.

Remember, he said it was the first time that he didn't know what the hell was going on. So he got all paranoid thinking that he was left out of the loop for a reason so his head must be on the chopping block. He jumps up looking all slick handing that thing over like he just flipped the table on everyone........... and never got a single vote!!! lololololol Yes, I'm enjoying that moment just a little too much. So great!

He's one of the better players actually. He saw a lot of politicking being done/horse trading around him by people he wasnt very familiar with. He wasnt _sure_ what was going to happen at TC so he covered his ass just to be safe. Russell's still in the game and Erik is left talking to himself trying to figure out what went down. Epic blindside.

Naw - getting voted out with TWO immunity idols in your pocket still is faraway the dumbest Survivor move yet!

Which is a decent and honorable way to make a living for your family. No question about it.
Let's face it - anybody who thinks Russell heads up a multi-billion dollar oil company probably thinks <insert obscure wrestling reference here> Hunter Hearst Helmsley works for the Internal Revenue Service!
